Industrial Scientific Ibrid MX6 Calibration Guide:

Want to calibrate the Industrial Scientific Ibrid MX6? Here's how:

  1. Turn the Industrial Scientific Ibrid MX6 on in normal reading mode. Do this by pressing and holding the middle button.

  2. For a pumped monitor:

    1. Screw the demand flow regulator into the calibration gas cylinder.
    2. Attach the tubing to the hose barb on your regulator.

    For a passive diffusion monitor:

    1. Open the valve on your fixed flow regulator. This is a very important step so you do not ruin your calibration gas cylinder. Now screw it in to your calibration gas cylinder. Close the regulator once you hear gas spewing out of it. This is the signal to know your regulator is good to close. Continue screwing in the regulator until it stops. Do not overturn it.

    2. Attach the tubing to the hose barb on your regulator. Make sure the tubing is also connected to your calibration adapter.

  3. Now the monitor needs to be put in fresh air calibration mode. Make sure you are in a fresh air environment. Press any of the buttons to light up the screen, then press the center button to enter the menu.

  4. Press the right button once to highlight "sensor" and press the middle button again to select it.

  5. Pres the down button to highlight "calibrate" in the sensor menu and select it with the middle button.

  6. Make sure the OK button is highlighted then press the center button again to start the sensor zeroing process.

  7. During the zeroing process, make sure the oxygen sensor reads above 20.9. Otherwise, it's time to get a new oxygen sensor.

  8. Once the monitor has completed zeroing, press the middle button to select "OK" to start the calibration process.

  9. For a pumped monitor, connected the tubing to the input port on the top of the monitor.

    On a passive diffusion monitor, clip on the calibration adapter then open the regulator to allow gas to flow.

  10. The monitor will calibrate each sensor one at a time. Make sure each calibration gas value on the screen matches what is on your calibration gas cylinder!

  11. Once the Industrial Scientific Ibrid MX6 has finished, press the center button to save the calibration and return to normal reading mode.

  12. Close and unscrew the regulator then detach the calibration adapter from the monitor.

  13. Congratulations! You have officially calibrated your Industrial Scientific Ibrid MX6 gas monitor. Make sure to record these readings in your calibration log!
